Apraxia is a rare neurological disorder, characterised by the loss of the ability to undertake a particular action. This is in spite of both having the desire and being physically capable of doing so. Patients are unable to recall the series of smaller movements required to perform the task. In some cases, apraxia affects only the patient’s ability to perform one particular task.
