Follicular Carcinoma

This is a type of thyroid cancer that grows from the follicle cells. Follicular Carcinoma usually affects older individuals around the age of 50 and up. Follicular Carcinoma can spread to the lungs when not controlled. Symptoms are severe coughing, lumps in the neck, difficulty in swallowing, changes in the tone of the voice, and discomfort and pain in the neck area. When there is suspicion of Follicular Carcinoma, seeking medical attention is still the advised. Doctors would do physical exam and feel the neck area for lumps, do blood tests, thyroid scan, and a biopsy to make the right analysis.
