Folliculitis

This is a bacterial infection that happens around the hair follicles. Some cases of Folliculitis heal by themselves in days but some need medical attention as it can wound the scalp that causes pain and discomfort. Folliculitis that heals in just a few days is called Superficial Folliculitis while the more severe case is called Deep Folliculitis. The former starts with small bumps filled with pus that can be extremely itchy. The latter on the other hand starts with big swollen mass and blisters that are filled with pus. Scars are also evident in Deep Folliculitis when the infection heals.
