Behaviour: Fear of Public Places Or Open Spaces (Agoraphobia)

Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder characterised by anxiety in situations where the sufferer perceives certain environments as either dangerous or uncomfortable. Often the anxiety is due to the vast openness or crowdedness of the environment. Fear may result in situations where the sufferer believes they cannot escape, or in cases where escaping would be difficult or humiliating.
