Blood: Platelet Count Low (Thrombocytopenia)

A condition in which your blood has lower than normal platelet levels. A normal platelet count in an adult ranges from 150,000 to 450,000 platelets per microlitre of blood. Therefore, a platelet count lower than 150,000 platelets per microlitre of blood is considered lower than normal.
