Coarse Facies (Face)

The term coarse facial features, also known as "coarse face" or "coarse facies", refers to the absence of fine and sharp facial features. Features include short noses, flat faces and large heads. People with coarse facial features tend to have longer than normal heads, and bulging foreheads. Changes in the soft tissue of the face may also result in coarse wrinkles on the face and head, especially in the areas of the cheeks, forehead and neck.
