Congestive heart failure occurs when the heart is not able to pump enough oxygen rich blood to satisfy the needs of the body. Symptoms include breathlessness, muscular fatigue, weight gain, loss of appetite, coughing, wheezing, and swelling of the ankles, legs or abdomen.
