Defecation: Loss of Voluntary Control (Faecal Incontinence)

Faecal (fecal) incontinence is the inability to regularly control the bowels, resulting in involuntary bowel movements. It is not a normal part of aging, but tends to affect older adults more than younger ones. Faecal incontinence is also more likely to strike women than men.
