Enlargement of Veins around Testicle (Varicocele)

Varicocele refers to an abnormal enlargement of the veins within the scrotum (the loose bag of skin that holds the testicles). Varicoceles are a common cause of low sperm production or decreased quality of sperm, which can lead to infertility. Varicoceles can also cause testicles to shrink. Most varicoceles are easy to diagnosis and do not require treatment.
