Pseudomembrane of Tonsils, Pharynx, Nose

A pseudomembrane is visible over the mucus lining of the tonsils, pharynx, larynx, or nose. The pseudomembrane is firm, fleshy, grey, and adherent. Attempts to dislodge the pseudomembrane may cause it to bleed.
