Septic Shock

Septic shock is a serious condition that results from severe infection and sepsis. Any type of bacteria can cause septic shock.  The very young and very old are most at risk of developing septic shock.  Symptoms may include chills, lightheadedness, low blood pressure, palpitations, rapid heart rate, and shortness of breath.
