Skin Bluish Discoloration with Attempted Feeds (Cyanosis on Feeding of Baby)

Attempted feedings cause the baby's skin to turn a bluish colour (cyanosis). Esophagael atresia is a congenital defect of the digestive system where the esophagus does not develop properly. Other symptoms of esophagael atresia besides cyanosis on feeding include coughing, gagging or choking with attempted feeding, drooling and poor feeding.
