Absence or Loss of Menstruation (Amenorrhoea)

Amenorrhoea falls into two categories - primary and secondary. In primary amenorrhoea, a young woman has not had a period by the time she turns 16. Secondary amenorrhoea is the state of a woman who previously has had a regular period, and has not had one for three months. Secondary amenorrhoea is much more common than primay amenorrhoea.
